Sherlock on tour

The past month was like rolling a rollercoster through Europe for Sherlock!

 

October the 22nd, 2015 – Italia ReStart-up Milan

The event, organised by the ICE (Italian Foreign Trade Agency), was set up to gather promising Italian startups and foreign investors. The event was held at the SMAU technology fair. Sherlock was selected with other 53 Italian startups to attend the event, together with investors coming from 20 different countries.

November the 5th and 6th, ECFI Hamburg

The 3rd EFCI (European Conference on the Future Internet) event provided Sherlock with practical advice both on business and technical aspects. We had the chance to refine our pitch deck and receive important feedbacks during the pitching sessions, and we had the opportunity to networking with several investors, technical and business advisors.

November the 9th and 10th, Innovate UK

Innovate 2015 is the UK’s largest multi-sector innovation event and is organised by Innovate UK and UK Trade and Investment (UKTI). It is set up to create opportunities for export and investment for the UK’s most innovative companies. Sherlock was one of 100 companies to be selected to showcase its innovation to over 3,000 attendees at Innovate 2015 on November 9th and 10th at Old Billingsgate in London.

November 16th, Creative Business Cup & EBAN Winter University 2015

We were selected among Fiware startups to attend a Coaching Workshop for Entrepreneurs and pitch at the Global Investor Forum at the Creative Business Cup & EBAN Winter University 2015 in Copenhagen. This experience gave us the opportunity to meet angel investors from an international network.

November 16th, The Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona

The Smart City Expo World Congress is the worldwide leading event for the smart city industry. It gave us the possibility to benchmark the diffusion of bike-related innovation in smart cities.

November the 25th, SETsquared Accelerating Growth 2015

This is the yearly showcase of the best start-ups of SETsquared, our English incubator. Sherlock was selected among the 265 companies supported by SETsquared, together with other 20 start-ups, to participate to this event that gave us a great networking and visibility opportunity. We pitched in front of more than 350 UK investors and we are following up with some of them for our next funding step.

During the event it was announced that SETsquared has been ranked as the top university business incubator in the world by UBI Global. The best way to wrap our European tour up!
