Motorbike theft is an emergency in Italy. In 2021, 26,707 motorbikes, scooters and mopeds were stolen (6% more than the previous year). That’s more than 2,000 a month, 74 a day, and three every hour. This figure shows that theft in this sector is still a growing phenomenon in Italy. On the recovery front, the news is not good: in fact, only almost 10 thousand have been recovered, 36% of those stolen.
