THE UNIVERSE OF VIASAT SERVICES FORWASTE DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

Interview with Luca Moretti, AD BU Waste Management VIASAT

The Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and Environment (ARERA), established in 1995, is an independent administrative authority that deals with regulation and control activities in the sectors of electricity, natural gas, water services, waste and teleheating. With 2018 Budget Law, it has also been entrusted with the regulation of the waste sector, with specific tasks to be exercised within the powers and principles applied up to other sectors of competence. In particular, two resolutions (n.443 and n.444 of October 2019) have introduced operational innovations for all the actors of supply chain: managers and service companies, local authorities, EGA (government area) and citizens. For this reason, the WMS platform – the single and shared platform dedicated to the management of the entire supply chain of environmental services, from waste management to tariffs – has been improved with real time measuring and monitoring services. All the elements provided aimed at respecting the principles of Municipal Service Charters in terms of data transparency. Among the main functions available to managers to meet quality, quantity and efficiency standards, it is worthy of note the transparency of data management; the creation of performance indicators for each service (KPI); the definition of minimum service levels (SLA); the development of functional and evolved dashboards in real time. Therefore, a unique and hybrid ERP / IOT system that ensures the coverage of the entire supply chain up to the management of the Punctual Rate, developed on the basis of the latest AWS Cloud technologies and services, supported by Viasat’s services and quality. We are going to face times of changes and new challenges. The universe of Viasat services is evolving rapidly to support all our customers in the Waste Digital Transformation.
With WMS and Ambiente in Cloud (Cloud Environment) – our management platform dedicated to producers, transporters, plants and intermediaries for the management of industrial waste – it will now be possible to count on a single partner, a single person in charge of the complete management of environmental services. A model that could be replicated internationally, thanks to the strong presence of the Group -directly or through partners and resellers- in numerous European countries.
