The client called the Viasat Operations Centre to notify the theft of his vehicle, a Fiat Panda with BluBox device. The Viasat operator displayed the position of the car, located in an inaccessible area in the country, despatched the Carabinieri who, after some hours, relocated the vehicle and returned this to its legitimate owner.
Small cars are the most frequently stolen in Italy and also those most frequently relocated. This episode reconfirms the fact that although, in the past, satellite devices were fitted generally on high-end vehicles, these are now fitted ever more frequently also on compact cars.
